Missouri Tigers Secure Two Commitments for 2027 Class

Missouri Tigers have landed commitments from two top prospects, Jack Marquard and Kobe Rhymes, on back-to-back days for their 2027 high school class. The Tigers now have 12 verbal commitments, with Marquard, a three-star offensive lineman from Lakewood, Ohio, committing on Tuesday, June 2. Marquard, listed at 6 foot 5 and 275 pounds, is the third O-lineman to commit to Mizzou in this cycle. He was among a group of official visitors to Columbia this past weekend, which also included Rhymes, a three-star linebacker from North Kansas City High. Rhymes, ranked as the No. 478 prospect nationally, committed to MU on Monday. Mizzou's 2027 recruiting class is currently rated as the nation's No. 28 recruiting class by 247Sports' composite rankings. The class includes one four-star prospect and 11 three-star commits, with the early national signing period set to begin on December 4. Marquard is ranked as the nation's No. 1,307 player by 247Sports and still has official visits planned for Indiana, Duke, and Wake Forest this upcoming month. Rhymes, a top-10 player in Missouri, previously visited Kansas and will also visit Kansas State and Nebraska this summer. The Tigers' recruiting class is currently ranked No. 9 in the SEC. Mizzou's coaching staff, led by head coach Eli Drinkwitz, has been working hard to build a strong 2027 class. The commitments from Marquard and Rhymes are a significant boost to the team's recruiting efforts. And with the early national signing period approaching, the Tigers are looking to add more top prospects to their class. But for now, the focus is on building a strong foundation for the 2027 season. So far, the Tigers have been successful in attracting top talent to Columbia. The team's 2027 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the best in the SEC. Marquard's commitment is a significant addition to the team's offensive line, which has been a focus for the coaching staff this offseason. The Tigers are looking to build a strong offense for the 2027 season, and Marquard's commitment is a big step in that direction. The team's recruiting efforts will continue to be a major focus in the coming months, with the early national signing period set to begin on December 4.
